The best part? They get to keep their cat upon release! Giving them hope for a beautiful future outside of confinement.
P.S. Cat safety is ALWAYS a priority, and these programs are well-run with food & litter provided by the rescue that partners with the prison. Toys, treats, and anything extra is paid for by the inmates themselves. π
